Cross Cultural Center
About Us
The Cross Cultural Center helps to promote cultural awareness across the CSUSB campus. We do this by hosting various events throughout the school year. The center also provides a relaxing atmosphere for students to study, use computers, or just hang out in between classes.
Mission Statement
The Cross Cultural Center is a place to explore your history. The Center promotes rather than impedes the process of discovery of self. The Cross Cultural Center is an oasis, and all are welcome to refresh themselves in its invigorating waters. It provides for an evolutionary journey through the development of all our cultures. The Cross Cultural Center is a place to unify people through embracing, proclaiming and celebrating the infinite diversity of humankind. We want to help individual students to discover and take delight in who they are, and to achieve the potential of who they can become.
Since our inception, we have endeavored to expose people of all backgrounds to the beauty, complexity, and diversity of different cultures.
We shall continue to do so, so that all cultures can receive full credit, recognition, remuneration, and opportunities commensurate to their contributions to America and world music, art, literature, education, and culture. All who come and partake not only leave things behind, but also take away treasures to share with others. We are in a race between education and catastrophe. The knowledge that all human beings are and must be one nation, with no geographic boundaries, that we are bound together through our beliefs, as much as our biology.
We are likeminded individuals, sharing a common vision, pushing toward a world free of color lines, prejudice, ignorance, bigotry and illiteracy. The Cross Cultural Center has so much to offer, now more than ever, education is the primary goal. Get the knowledge, it is the one thing in life we need.
